Operational Safety
TODI is a milky white or light yellow granular solid with a vapor pressure below 10-4 mbar at room temperature. The Federal Republic of Germany stipulates that the TODI content in the working environment should be less than 0.01 ppm (0.087 mg/m3), even if it exceeds the standard for a short time, it is not allowed. Due to their special reactivity, TODIs are considered hazardous and must be handled with care.
The potential hazard of TODI is the formation of dust, vapors and fumes during use.
Operators may be exposed to TODI in the following situations:
a: Dust floating out during weighing or feeding;
b: Steam or fumes from excess TODI during preparation of TODI prepolymers or casting (fumes are generated when hot TODI steam condenses).
storage
Note: TODI is sensitive to moisture. Because all diisocyanates can react with water to form insoluble urea derivatives. It should be stored sealed in cool and dry conditions. Do not store with food, avoid exposure to 30°C, and seal it immediately after use to avoid failure. Under suitable external conditions, the product is valid for 6 months.
Package
Standard passenger container: iron drum lined with polyethylene bag, net weight 50kg/drum. It can be divided into 20kg/drum according to customer needs.
