Product introduction
PolyFox PF-652-NF is an absolutely environmentally friendly, solvent-soluble non-ionic fluorosurfactant based on OMNOVA Solutions' oxetane polymer technology platform. PolyFox fluorosurfactants can be used in solvent-borne coatings to improve flow, leveling and surface appearance. In suitable formulations, PolyFox fluorosurfactants can be used to replace telomer-based and other traditional nonionic fluorosurfactants. Compared to traditional fluorosurfactant technology, the use of PolyFox can greatly reduce the introduction of foam and air (acting as degassing). In addition, PolyFox PF-652-NF has terminal hydroxyl groups that can be further modified, reacted, and attached to polymer molecules such as polyurethane and polyester.
Main features and functions
Environmentally Preferred – Test data has shown that PolyFox does not cause fluorochemical bioaccumulation, so PolyFox has a very low environmental impact compared to some telomer-based fluorochemicals.
Versatile and Versatile – PolyFox is an environmentally preferred fluorochemical that replaces telomer-based and other traditional fluorochemicals without the common air introduction and associated technical issues, resulting in improved final product surface appearance. PolyFox's unique fluorosurfactant ultimately acts as a degasser and leveling agent. PolyFox can also help reduce the amount of other additives in the proper coating formulation.
Low-foaming qualities – Compared with other fluorosurfactant technologies, PolyFox foams are significantly reduced. The very small amount of foam produced also bursts immediately.
Improves Appearance – The use of PolyFox improves appearance by reducing defects on the surface of the paint. PolyFox helps reduce pitting and cratering in spray coating, and reduces surface waviness in roller coating.
Excellent Air Release and Degassing - The use of PolyFox significantly reduces air entrainment, thereby reducing surface defects such as pinholes, air entrapment and shrinkage craters. Eliminating surface defects can also increase the durability of the coating.
Water-like color – Compared to traditional telomer-based and conventional fluorine technology, PolyFox color is clear and uniform. The use of PolyFox does not affect the color of formulations, especially colorless paints.
