Application field
(1) Coatings and printing inks
a. Features and Benefits
The additive reduces dynamic surface tension and can improve substrate wettability. Especially recommended for high-speed construction applications. When added to millbases, it reduces millbase viscosity, increases gloss, tinting strength, and clarity, and reduces floatation of mixed colors.
b. Recommended use
Wood and furniture coatings, industrial coatings, printing inks, varnishes, anti-corrosion coatings
c. Recommended dosage
0.5-2 % Auxiliary dosage (as supplied) is based on the total formulation.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the optimum dosage needs to be determined through a series of tests.
d. Joining methods and processing instructions
When used to improve the wetting of the substrate, the additive must be added to the finished coating; when used to improve the grinding effect of the pigment, the additive must be added to the abrasive. There may be a slight foam stabilization effect with BYK-DYNWET 800.
(2) Adhesives and sealants
a. Features and Benefits
BYK-DYNWET 800 reduces dynamic surface tension and therefore improves substrate wetting of the system during high-speed application.
b. Recommended use
The additive is suitable for all water-based adhesives and sealants. Particularly suitable for high-speed casting, such as production tapes (PSA).
c. Recommended dosage
0.2-1.2 % Auxiliary dosage (as supplied) is based on the total formulation.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the optimum dosage needs to be determined through a series of tests.
d. Joining methods and processing instructions
Can be added at any stage, including post-addition.
(3) Glass fiber impregnation
a. Features and Benefits
BYK-DYNWET 800 reduces the dynamic surface tension of dipping coatings and thus improves wetting of glass fibers. Especially recommended for high-speed construction applications.
b. Recommended dosage
0.7-3 % Auxiliary dosage (as supplied) is based on the total formulation.
c. Joining methods and processing instructions
Can be added at any stage with stirring, BYK-DYNWET 800 may have a slight foam stabilization effect during the mixing stage.
(4) Detergents, cleaning and care products
a. Features and Benefits
BYK-DYNWET 800 improves substrate wetting of self-polishing wax emulsions (matt and gloss). BYK-DYNWET 800 does not increase the smoothness of the system, does not contain fluorine, and does not affect subsequent construction.
b. Recommended dosage
0.1 % - 1.0 % Auxiliary dosage (as supplied) is based on the total formulation.
c. Joining methods and processing instructions
BYK-DYNWET 800 can be added at any stage, but it is recommended to be added later. This additive is mainly used in formulations containing plasticizers, and a volatile plasticizer should be used in advance to make a 10% active substance solution.
