Silicone oligomer is a relatively low molecular weight silicone resin. Due to its structural characteristics, it plays a great role as a resin monomer, as a modifier of organic resin, and as an interface modifier. is a very unique product.

(1) As a resin monomer

Main features: water resistance, weather resistance, high hardness

Applications: Body Coatings, Floor Coatings, Hydrophobicity

(2) As an organic resin modifier

Main features: adhesion, weather resistance, water resistance

Applications: substrates, sealing materials, adhesives, adhesives, coatings for building materials

 

  Type A product  

Type A products, although containing alkoxysilyl groups, do not contain reactive functional groups, and are composed of a single methyl group or a methyl group and a phenyl group. It can be said that this is a structure similar to that of silicone resin.

Methyl type: Methyl type organosilicon oligomers have excellent water-decomposability, and if a catalyst is used in combination, a room temperature moisture-curable coating agent can be produced. In addition, a coating with high hardness and high water repellency can be formed.

Methyl/phenyl type: Because of its good compatibility with organic resins, it can be used as organic resin modifier and reactive diluent. In addition, flexibility can be imparted to room temperature moisture-curable coating agents composed of methyl-based oligomers and catalysts

application 

(1) Organic resin modifier: The silanol group generated by hydrolysis of alkoxysilane or alkoxysilyl group is used to denature other organic resins into silicone, which can improve heat resistance and weather resistance. The reaction mechanism includes "dealcoholization condensation" of an alcoholic hydroxyl group contained in an organic resin and an alkoxysilyl group, and "dehydration condensation" with a silanol group. In addition, in general, methyl-based oligomers are used for water-based organic resins, and phenyl-based oligomers are used for solvent-based organic resins.

(2) Room temperature moisture curing coating agent

Two-component: A-type oligomer, which can be made into a room temperature moisture-curing coating agent by using a catalyst in combination, and is used in a wide range of fields such as automobile body coating and floor coating agent.
