Overview:
Efka® FL 3740 is a degassing levelling agent for non-aqueous coatings, liquid coating systems, and binders for powder coatings and powder coatings.
Due to its chemical structure, Efka® FL 3740 improves the surface tension of coatings. Efka® FL 3740 eliminates or reduces shrinkage craters, fish-eyes and orange peel; it improves leveling, dispersion and anti-flash; avoids gas trapping in the paint film and enhances wetting of the substrate.

Application:
Efka® FL 3740 is also very suitable for the production of powder coatings or powder coating resins. It is recommended to mix 9 parts polyester resin with 1 part Efka® FL3740 to prepare a masterbatch. After melting, homogenization, cooling and pelletizing, the masterbatch is perfectly suitable for direct use in premixing and extrusion processes. It can avoid the disadvantages of silicon leveling agents. In particular, colored and transparent powder coatings with excellent leveling properties can be produced for the production of weather-resistant powder coatings.
Efka® FL 3740 can be used for:
·Alkyd resin paint
·Epoxy paint
·Acrylic/melamine resin coating
· Two-component acrylic paint
·Polyvinyl chloride copolymer coating
·Polyurethane coating
·Chlorinated rubber coating
·Nitro paint
Recommended dosage:
Efka® FL 3740 can be added to the milled material before grinding, or by stirring after the pigment has been dispersed. The optimum amount of Efka® FL 3740 is determined according to the specific formulation, usually 0.2-1.0.
