  Product Features  
     Reactive blocked aliphatic polyisocyanates are used in combination with Bayhydrol® polyols to prepare water-reducible lightfast one-pack polyurethane stoving coatings, and can be used as additives in waterborne stoving systems to help increase coating hardness , impact strength, chemical resistance and adhesion. Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 is supplied without cosolvents.

 Features/Applications 
      Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 can be used as a curing agent for water-reducible lightfast one-component polyurethane stoving varnishes. As with conventional DD coatings, the degree of crosslinking and the choice of polyol component can affect the properties of the resulting coating. Application areas include: automotive OEM coatings (impact primers, surfacers and topcoats) and advanced industrial stoving coatings (eg for electronic devices, components and auto parts). Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 is cosolvent free, has good thermal stability (resistance to yellowing) and is more active than the original crosslinkers Bayhydur® BL 5140 and Bayhydur® VP LS 2310.
                          
      The crosslinking effect of Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 varies with the degree of crosslinking and the co-reactants.
Depending on the bake temperature and the type of polyol used, slight thermal yellowing may occur.

  Solubility/Dilution  
      Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 can be diluted with water. Dilute solutions should always be tested for compatibility and storage stability, especially if co-solvents are used.
