Product introduction
Dehydrated castor oil is a light-colored, odorless, dry oil.
Dehydrated castor oil (DCO) is known for its non-yellowing and excellent color retention properties. DCO-based paints, alkyds and resin systems offer excellent qualities of fast drying, elasticity, excellent chemical resistance, metal adhesion, high gloss and water resistance.
Castung® dehydrated castor oil is the most controllable conjugate oil used in reactors and is often used to modify other oils and fatty acid systems.

103 G-H
Castung® 103 G-H is an amorphous dehydrated castor oil that can be used with pure and modified phenolic resins to obtain fast drying coatings and impart container liners, corrosion resistant coatings, transportation paints, ink vehicles and marine coatings Alkali resistant. Castung® 103 G-H is an excellent plasticizer for petroleum hydrocarbon resins.
For alkyd and copolymer resins, Castung® 103 G-H is the product of choice.
Features
- Amorphous dehydrated castor oil
- Low free acidity
- Triglycerides, high linoleic acid content
- No linolenic acid
- Dryness of conventional petroleum-based dryers
- Fast drying and curing
- Differential reactivity
403U-V/403 Z-3
Castung® 403U-V/403 Z-3 polymerized (tangible) medium/high viscosity dehydrated castor oil has faster processing and shorter drying time than Castung® 103 G-H.
These products are also non-yellowing and have excellent color retention. These modified resins increase the ease of application and gloss of the topcoat.
Castung® 403 Z-3 is an ideal aluminium paint with fast drying, flexibility and low acidity.
Features
- Shaped dehydrated castor oil
- Low free acid triglyceride content and very high linoleic acid content
- No linolenic acid
- Dryness of conventional petroleum-based dryers
- Fast drying and curing
Application of 103 G-H and 403U-V/403 Z-3
- Produces high quality durable coatings
- Light-colored, non-yellowing film
- Enhanced primary binder systems for home paints, enamel enamels, plugging agents, sealants and inks
- In "baked" varnishes, they are combined with all base resins, rosins, ester gums, hydrocarbons and phenols to produce varnishes and coatings for colour coatings
235
Castung® 235 is a water-dispersible dehydrated castor oil polymer that improves the adhesion of latex coatings to chalky substrates and acts as a VOC modifier for water-reducing alkyd coatings. As a VOC modifier for waterborne coatings, it can be added at any point in the production process. Alternatively, it can be added after the reaction if necessary.
Features
- Fast drying
- Hydroxyl-containing oil polymer
- 100% active
- Gives the product maximum adhesion to very performing and problematic substrates
application
- Latex paint
- Latex dyeing
Copolymer 186 / Copolymer 186-85
Copolymer 186/Copolymer 186-85 are Castung derivatives, blended at room temperature with selected resins at low temperature for the production of high quality varnishes and paint vehicles. Copolymer 186 has excellent compatibility with a variety of resins at room temperature. It forms coatings with excellent exterior properties for use as cleaning, anti-corrosion primers and coatings, aluminum paints and primers, foam-resistant wood primers and concentrated alkyd coatings.
Copolymer 186-85 is a product of Copolymer 186 with 15% less solvent.
Features
- Production of automotive coatings with excellent performance
- Improved overall performance compared to traditional dry oils
- Free of drying oils and styrene, vinyl toluene
- Products obtained by copolymerization of maleic anhydride or acrylic acid monomers
application
- Premium clear exterior finish finish
- Alkyd resin modification
- Properties directly related to the resin type with which it is bound; pure and modified phenolic resins; rosin esters; carbon
- Hydrogen compounds (petroleum and coal tar sources); chlorinated rubber
XXX-1
XXX-1 castor oil is a type of partially dehydrated castor oil that is compatible with mineral oil. It is approved by the USDA as a cart lubricant for meatpacking plants under 21CFR 178.3570, "Food-Contactable Lubricants." XXX-1 castor oil is a kind of high-efficiency plasticizer with excellent pigment wetting properties, which can be used as the first-choice product as a plugging agent, sealant and binder.
