Properties and Applications
Oxyester T1136 is a linear polyester diol with good compatibility with commercially available PUR resins. It is mainly used in aliphatic PUR technology, as a toughening polyol, such as in PUR elastomers with trifunctional polycaprolactones such as Capa 305 (Interox) or Tone 305 (Union Carbide), and in 2K PUR high solids coatings or 1K drying system. Oxyester T1136 is also a suitable polyol for the production of air-dried PUR resins (aqueous polyurethane dispersions or solvent-borne systems).
Compatibility and Solubility
Oxyester T1136 is compatible with many resins and additives used in the production of polyurethane compounds. The solubility of this polyester in ketones, esters and aromatics is an important requirement for coating applications.
storage and packaging
Oxyester T1136 can be stored in unopened containers for at least one year without loss of quality meeting the above specifications.
When stored at <5°C, cloudiness may occur. This can be reversed by warming to 30-40°C. It comes in 25kg cans and 200kg non-returnable drums.
