 Features/Applications
Desmocap® 1190 can be used to prepare curable solvent-free liquid polyurethane systems for use as surface sealants, containment coatings and flexible mortars for laying tiles or floor tiles. It can be mixed with liquid A and/or F grade epoxy resins. Polyamides, typically used in admixture with epoxy resins, are ideal curing agents, especially aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diamines.

  compatibility
Generally, Desmocap® 1190 has good compatibility with liquid epoxy resins, tougheners and various liquid amines.

Solubility / Dilution
Generally, Desmocap® 1190 has good compatibility with esters, ketones, ethers, aromatics, various tougheners, turpentine and Kristallöl® 60 (turpentine). However, the storage stability of the prepared solution still needs to be tested. Polyurethane grade solvents (less than 0.05% water content) should be used and should not contain reactive groups. Long-term storage of low-solids solutions may cause turbidity and precipitation.

Store
- Store in original Covestro airtight containers.
- Recommended storage temperature: 10-30°C.
- Avoid moisture, heat, and foreign substances.

General Information: This product should always be stored in its original airtight container. High temperature storage may result in an increase in viscosity.

storage time
Provided that the product has been stored in full compliance with the requirements in the "Storage" clause above and handled properly, the product meets the specifications stated in the "Specifications or Characteristic Values" clause above for a period of 6 months from the date of shipment stated on the shipping document or characteristic value (as applicable). The fact that a product exceeds the 6-month period above does not mean that it no longer meets the specifications or the values set in the characteristic values. However, it is recommended that products older than 6 months from the date of shipment be tested prior to use to confirm that they still meet the values set in the specifications or characteristic values.
