Rhodia offers 5 kinds of high temperature silicone resins, most of which are phenyl silicone resins.
· Methyl silicone resin (a small amount of phenyl) - Resin 10336
· Four benzyl silicone resins—Resin 6405, 6407, 6482, 10312, 10369
· Applied to continuous coating of building materials—Resin 10369

Advice/Recommendation
Fast drying: Resin 10336, fast drying, reduces drying speed and drying time; although it is methyl resin, the thermal adhesion of its coating is very good, with a proper formula, the heat resistance temperature can reach 400 ℃ .
High thermal stability: Resin 10312 is the most flexible resin among these resins. It has outstanding thermal stability in industrial coatings with a heat-resistant temperature of 600°C or above.
The best overall performance: Resin 6405, which has both flexibility, hardness and thermal stability, the coating produced can be cured after drying in air.
High Solids Coatings: Resin 6407, a silicone resin with higher molecular weight and higher silicone content than Resin 6405.
Wide range of adaptability: Resin 6482, due to its highly reactive hydroxyl groups, this resin is used for cold blending with silicone binders (alkyds, acrylics and epoxies) to improve their performance at high temperatures gloss and crack resistance.

Coating Formulation
After a given pigment:binder ratio (P:B) has been selected, the paint is prepared as follows: The filler and pigment are added to the binder, while any additional solvent (toluene or xylene) is added to adjust its viscosity , using a suitable grinding machine, preferably explosion-proof equipment, and adding certain additives at the end of grinding:
-PDMS v 100
- Sylosiva A 4 (prevents volatilization of gas during paint storage)
-Bentone 34 (thixotropic agent)
When applied, the coating can be diluted with xylene to a viscosity suitable for equipment such as a spray applicator.
