Application *This data is general information and is not part of the product specification.
Mainly used in combination with Bayhydur® 304, XP 2487/1 and Desmodur® N3900 to prepare air-drying and baking industrial coatings. The cured film is strong, tough, and elastic with excellent gloss, filling, weathering and light stability, solvent and gasoline resistance, and fast drying. Not suitable for wood varnishes.
compatibility
Suitable coreactants for the preparation of waterborne two-pack polyurethane coatings are aliphatic polyisocyanates such as Desmodur® N3600, N3400, N3900, XP2410, Bayhydur® 3100, 401-70, 305, 304, VP LS 2150BA, VP LS 2306, XP 2655 or XP 2487/1.
Solubility/Dilution
Bayhydrol® A 2601 can be diluted with water in any ratio
store
- Store in original Covestro airtight containers.
- Recommended storage temperature: >0-30℃
- Avoid freezing, heat and foreign substances.
General Information: Cooling to -18°C for a short time will usually not damage the product, but freezing for a long time can seriously damage the product. Long-term storage at higher temperatures can result in a decrease in viscosity and/or an increase in average particle size, possibly resulting in precipitation or coagulation. The viscosity of this product mainly depends on the pH value. The pH may decrease during storage, resulting in a decrease in viscosity. The viscosity can be restored to its original value by adding a small amount of 10% dimethylethanolamine in water. Can make the product unusable due to contamination by certain bacteria, mold or algae.
storage time
Covestro declares that the product complies with the above "specification or characteristic values" for a period of 6 months from the date of shipment stated on the shipping document, provided that the product is stored in full compliance with the requirements in the "Storage" clause above and handled properly Specifications or characteristic values stated in the Terms (as applicable). The fact that a product exceeds the 6-month period above does not mean that it no longer meets the specifications or the values set in the characteristic values. However, Covestro recommends that products older than 6 months from the date of shipment be tested before use to confirm that they still meet the specifications or set values in the characteristic values. Covestro makes no commitments for products older than 6 months from the date of shipment, and accepts no responsibility or liability for non-conformance to specifications or set values in characteristic values.
