DMBA is a group with both hydroxyl and carboxyl groups, a unique multifunctional hindered diol molecule, which has better solubility than DMPA in different solvents. As a chain extender and a hydrophilic agent, DMBA has been widely used. It is used in the production of waterborne coatings, waterborne adhesives and waterborne leather finishing agents for waterborne polyurethane systems.
